New York, NY - Insight Venture Partners, a leading growth investor in global SaaS-based software, e-Commerce, Internet and data-service companies, has recruited Ross Devor as Vice President.
Ross will focus primarily on leveraged buyouts and majority recapitalizations in both high-growth and mature software categories. He will further help lead new investments in the Application and Infrastructure software verticals markets.
Prior to joining Insight, Ross was a member of the investment team at Thoma Bravo, where he completed multiple platform and follow-on software buyout transactions. His role included vertical sourcing, operational and market due diligence, and arranging financing commitments. Post investment, Ross was active at both the Board and company level, supporting operating improvements at portfolio companies, and inorganic growth initiatives. Earlier in his career, he worked at Morgan Stanley.

In May 2013, Insight announced the closing of Fund VIII, which has the ability to deploy equity amounts of up to approximately $300 million per transaction in growth stage and more mature companies, as minority or control transactions. To date, Insight has made three investments from Fund VIII: Kaseya; Anaqua and Media Spectrum.
