Jeff Lieberman is a managing director at Insight Venture Partners. He joined the firm in 1998 and has worked extensively with consumer internet and application software companies. Jeff has led the successful exits of multiple eCommerce and software companies. Notable among these are Cvent (IPO, NYSE:CVT), Daily Deal (acquired by Google), Ecova (acquried by GDF Suez), GetPaid (acquired by SunGard Systems), Hautelook (acquired by Nordstrom), HealthcareSource (acquired by Francisco Partners), Paisley (acquired by Thomson Reuters), Nistevo (acquired by Sterling Software), Cadence (merged with AdvantageIQ, now Ecova), Procuri (acquired by Ariba), Shutterstock (IPO, NYSE:SSTK), TicketMonster (acquired by Living Social), Trivago (acquired by Expedia), and Website Pros (IPO).
Jeff currently serves on the board or oversees Insight’s investments in Cvent (NSYE: CVT), DeliveryHero, HelloFresh, Hootsuite, GainSight, Moat, Mimecast (Nasdaq: MIME), OpenEnglish, Qualtrics, Tongal and Udemy. In 2014 Jeff was selected by AlwaysOn as a Venture Capital 100 winner as well as Forbes Midas Touch Recipient.
Prior to joining Insight, Jeff was a management consultant at McKinsey & Co, where he focused on strategic and operating issues in the financial services, technology and consumer products industries. Earlier in his career, Jeff worked as a systems consultant for K-Line Trucking, optimizing intermodal transportation networks.
Jeff received dual degrees in systems engineering and finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Moore School of Engineering and Wharton School of Business, respectively, where he graduated with honors.
