John Weinstein joined Insight in 2021 as Principal and Deputy General Counsel.
Prior to joining Insight, John was in-house counsel at Two Sigma Investments overseeing Two Sigma’s private investments strategies, including private equity, venture capital, and impact investing.
Prior to Two Sigma, John was a corporate lawyer at Davis Polk & Wardwell. At Davis Polk, John represented clients on a broad range of matters, including M&A, minority and venture investments, and other strategic transactions, fund and co-investment structuring, management arrangements, governance, and regulatory matters.
John is a CFA Charterholder and holds a B.A. from Syracuse University where he studied Economics and Finance and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
John also sits on the Junior Council Steering Committee of the American Museum of Natural History, which focuses on sustaining, strengthening, and endorsing the Museum’s work to broaden public understanding of science and the natural world. John lives in the Upper West Side with his wife and their two thriving houseplants. In his free time, John enjoys reading, hiking, baking, traveling, and learning new things.
