Picture the dream scenario: hot leads come pouring into your inbox, and your product is practically jumping off the factory floor. For many manufacturers, that dream is already a reality, but the problem is what happens next.
Manufacturers often leave many of these hot leads hanging because responding to a request for quote (RFQs) is so manual and document-heavy. Some RFQs can run hundreds of pages long and take days to work through. The result is that overstretched sales teams can leave up to 50-60% of RFQs unanswered, forfeiting millions in revenue.
Transforming an underserved industry with AI
Tendos is purpose-built to solve this problem, and in doing so will reinvent a massive and under-digitized industry. For many manufacturers, Tendos is their first look at how AI can transform their business. The LLMs powering Tendos’s agents excel at understanding and acting upon unstructured data, operating as the centerpiece for a harness built to collapse the manual, repetitive tasks inside manufacturers.
The starting point for Tendos is quoting. Its agents sit on top of a manufacturer’s shared inbox, CRM, and ERP, read inbound requests, classify them, and match each line of the specification to the right product in the manufacturer’s own catalog. The team then reviews and approves rather than searches and types, and the finished quote flows back into the system of record. Tendos doesn’t stop there, as every correction a salesperson makes teaches the system. Catalog matching becomes more accurate with use, so knowledge stays in the company rather than walking out the door when experienced colleagues leave or retire.
From the quoting wedge, Tendos has already expanded into tender discovery, inbox triage, order intake, CRM and ERP integrations, and sales insights built on the demand data that now flows through the platform. The vision is simple: put people where their expertise matters and let agents handle the repetitive tasks that eat up their time.
Betting on the system of action for industrial sales
We’ve been lucky enough to spend the past year getting to know Christian, Daniel, and Matthias. Selling AI to an industry built on email, spreadsheets, and patience is not easy, yet we’re consistently blown away by how fast the Tendos team moves.
From signing their first customer last year to working with some of the largest manufacturers in their industry, Tendos, like the customers it serves, has a product that is flying off the shelves. We believe the manufacturers that put AI between the factory floor and their customers will overwhelm their competitors. We’re thrilled to lead Tendos’s €12M Seed and help build the system of action for manufacturers.
