Myrel joined Insight in 2017. She focuses on leveraged buyouts and majority recapitalizations in both high-growth and mature software businesses. Prior to joining Insight, Myrel was an Investment Banking analyst at Morgan Stanley where she helped advise on numerous M&A transactions, leveraged buyouts, spin-offs, and debt and equity offerings for technology-enabled services companies.
Myrel graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College with a BA in Government. She is actively involved in various non-profit initiatives related to her family’s native Cuba and the promotion of gender diversity in the workplace. Most notably, she is a member of the Cuba Study Group and the co-founder and Vice President of Synergist, a network that aims to help women navigate the first decade of their careers in investment banking and private equity.
In her spare time, Myrel enjoys running on the West Side Highway and browsing New York City restaurant blogs for her next reservation. She is a member of the Architectural League of New York and is especially interested in airport and transit architecture.
