Real Talk from the Top: Celebrating Women’s History Month

On March 11th, Insight Partners hosted a digital event that combined candid advice from female leaders and peer networking with senior software leaders from our portfolio to celebrate Women's History Month together.

Watch the four lightning talks from inspiring executives: a Board Member, a COO, CPO, and a CMO. Drawing upon their personal and professional experiences, they shared their stories about what shaped their careers and things that they wish they'd have known on their journey to the top.

Speakers

Heather Hiles – Board Member, Founder, and CEO

An expert in technology, learning, and talent development, with a 30-year track record of creating and scaling nonprofit and for-profit organizations that improved millions of lives. Hiles is the founder or co- founder of SFWorks, EARN, The Hiles Group, Pathbrite, and Calbright College. Heather first became a CEO at the age of 27 and later sold Pathbrite to a multi-billion dollar publishing company with approximately 4X returns to investors.

Whitney Bouck – COO of HelloSign at Dropbox, Board Member Ekata and Paycor

Whitney Bouck is the Chief Operating Officer of HelloSign, and a deeply experienced enterprise software executive, with over 30 years of experience in leadership, strategy, sales, marketing, and business operations. Founded in 2010, HelloSign is a ‘digital workflow platform’ that helps over 80,000 customers and millions of people do business faster. Whitney joined HelloSign as COO in early 2016 and has since led the Sales, Marketing, Customer Operations, and Business Development, teams. In January 2019, HelloSign was acquired by Dropbox for $230 million. Some of her former roles include VP & GM of Documentum, Chief Marketing Officer of the Information Intelligence Group at EMC, and SVP of Global Marketing & GM of Enterprise at cloud storage startup Box, where she ran the global marketing organization and built Box’s enterprise business from the ground up.

Trisha Price – Chief Product Officer, nCino

Trisha Price serves as nCino's Chief Product Officer and leads the nCino team responsible for the design, development and roadmap of the nCino Bank Operating System. She has over 15 years of financial services and technology experience and prior to joining nCino in 2016, held various positions at Primatics Financial, including Head of Global Sales, and at Fannie Mae.

Denise Broady – Chief Marketing Officer, Appian

Denise Vu Broady is the Chief Marketing Officer at Appian (NASDAQ: APPN). Appian helps organizations build apps and workflows rapidly, with a low-code automation platform. Combining people, technologies and data in a single workflow. Broady is charged with leading Appian’s global marketing and communications efforts and shape the marketing strategy to drive the next phase of growth. Prior to joining Appian, Broady was the Global COO of the Industry Cloud organization at SAP, running go-to-market, strategy, marketing, communications, and operations. She was also the CMO/COO at WorkForce Software in addition to holding various leadership positions at TopTier (a start-up acquired by SAP) and Clarkston Group.
